How do the traps work?
We use humane one-way entry traps that encourage iguanas to walk in using food bait. Once inside, they cannot escape.
How long are traps left out?
Trap rentals are available by the day or in multi-day packages. We check regularly and remove any captured animals promptly.
Will the traps hurt the iguana?
No. Our traps are designed to hold iguanas safely and humanely until removal.
Do you guarantee a catch?
Trapping is not always successful due to iguana behavior. We will advise honestly after site evaluation and adjust strategy if needed.
Is shooting iguanas legal in Florida?
Yes! Florida law allows for the humane dispatch of invasive green iguanas on private property with landowner permission. We are fully compliant with all FWC guidelines.
What kind of air rifle do you use?
We use precision .22 or .25 caliber PCP air rifles, ensuring humane and efficient dispatch with minimal noise and maximum discretion.
Will shooting cause damage or alarm on my property?
No — our rifles are low-decibel and we operate discretely. We assess each site to ensure no risks to people, pets, or property.
Is this service safe around pets and children?
Yes. We only dispatch in safe, controlled conditions, never around people, pets, or homes without a clear line of sight and backdrop.
What does tree wrapping do?
Tree wraps prevent iguanas from climbing trees to bask, sleep, or access roofs by creating a slick, non-grippable surface around the trunk. This reduces property damage, droppings, and overall iguana activity.
Is tree wrapping harmful to the tree?
No. We use breathable, non-damaging materials specifically designed to protect the tree’s health while keeping iguanas off. There is no drilling, glue, or bark damage.
How long do the wraps last?
Each wrap typically lasts 4–6 months and can be reused or re-secured as needed. Seasonal replacement is recommended, especially after major storms or during peak iguana activity.
How does burrow destruction work?
We locate iguana burrows on your property, then collapse and treat them to prevent re-entry or reuse. Iguana's can lay 20-70 Eggs so this interrupts their nesting cycle and helps reduce long-term population buildup.
Do I need to find the burrows first?
Not necessarily. We provide site assessments and will locate and confirm active burrows as part of the service. You may point out known problem areas to speed the process.
Is burrow removal permanent?
It significantly reduces iguana nesting in the area, but new burrows can appear over time. Follow-up treatments may be needed if activity returns, especially during nesting season.
